Amar started his financial services career in 1996 in the banking industry. He joined Merrill Lynch in 1999 as Financial Consultant, building his own book of business and contributing to a portfolio management group specializing in high-net worth individuals and institutions. Amar joined Brecek & Young Advisors in 2001, specializing in portfolio trading, and became a member of BYA’s Investment Committee in 2003. As a member of Iron Point’s Investment Committee, Amar conducts ongoing monitoring and research of mutual fund, sub-account and Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) investments for all IPCM’s managed programs, in accordance with the long- and short-term investment strategies. Amar’s other duties include analysis and due diligence of overseas financial markets and economies, oversight of portfolio trading for all of IPCM’s managed programs, and providing case support concerning client portfolio analysis and construction. Amar graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with a Masters of Business Administration, emphasizing Finance, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. He holds Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses. Amar and his wife enjoy spending time with their son, outdoor activities and traveling. He is an avid reader and sports fan.
